How do you choose the right glass for your windows?
The glass in Pella® windows and doors makes a major difference in your comfort and energy use. Climate affects which glass you should choose, but exposure to sun, noise, window placement and size should also be considered.

Clear Insulating Glass

The airspace between the two panes of glass improves the insulating properties to help prevent heat or cold from escaping or entering your home. A good value that provides basic energy efficiency. Allows maximum light and solar heating.
Best use: Locations with moderate weather.

Advanced Low-E Insulating Glass with Argon

Features a Low-E coating made from two layers of thermal protection to increase comfort year-round.
  • Blocks up to 86% of the sun’s UV rays to help protect from fade damage
  • Available without argon for moderate climates.
Best use: Locations with hot and cold weather extremes.

SunDefense™ Low-E Insulating Glass with Argon

Our special SunDefense Low-E coating is made from three layers of thermal protection that reflect more of the sun’s heat to keep your home cooler in the summer.
  • Blocks 95% of the sun’s UV rays to help protect from fade damage.
  • Available with Dual Low-E — an extra layer of Low-E coating that helps the glass block 95%+ of the sun’s UV rays.
  • Available without argon for moderate climates.
Best use: Locations in need of superior solar protection and high levels of energy efficiency.

Designer Series Triple-Pane Advanced Low-E Insulating Glass with Argon

Insulating glass with a Low-E coating made from two layers of thermal protection PLUS a third pane of Low-E glass.
